Welcome to the Bear Inn, an historic freehouse pub restaurant with B&B at Burwash in East Sussex, set in the heart of Kipling Country just twenty minutes from Hastings and a few miles from Battle. The Bear Inn is one of Burwash's oldest places of rest and refreshment where for over 600 years it has offered rest and hospitality to pilgrims, tourists and locals. The Kipling Restaurant offers a wide selection of homemade dishes and bar snacks as well as Sunday roast served from our carvery along with our salad bar. Meals and fine ales can also be enjoyed in the main bar area that is dominated by the large inglenook fireplace and open log fire. The Burwash Motel accommodation is a night to remember, all letting rooms have Four Poster Beds and magnificent views overlooking the valley.
